General Information & FAQ's
Sussex Construction's Founder believes that as a business we should endeavour to work with a different approach than most companies within our industry.
Therefore, we believe that every project should be handled with good communication, transparency and, much like a new born child, with delicate hands.
We work hard to ensure that your project is more enjoyable than stressful!

Our General Terms & Conditions
Every project comes with its own unique set of documentation. Once a client has agreed an Estimate and wishes to secure the work, we draft our Terms & Conditions which sets out our general terms and a few other crucial items, such as the following. The Terms & Conditions will be sent to you via email along with an Initial Deposit Invoice (sent via our accounting system, Quickbooks) to secure the diary time.
Start Date
This is the date we plan to start on site. However it should be noted that this date can change due to many factors, for example existing projects overrunning or weather conditions. It may also be necessary to have materials delivered to site prior to the Start Date. Some projects will be started off site within our West Sussex workshop, if this applies to your project you will also have an Off Site Start Date within your Terms & Conditions.
Payment Schedule
The payment schedule clearly sets out when and how much you are paying throughout the duration of the project. Unlike most companies in the industry, our Founder believes we complete the project prior to sending out Completion Invoices. So, for you as the client you won't receive a request for final payment until all snagging is complete (yes, those niggly minor defects do actually get completed!). The Payment Schedule is also a rough guide to how long we expect your project to take, although this doesn't take into account any Additional Services or delays.
Additional Services Section
This section is only completed as and when changes are made to your project. For example, any unforeseen complications that arise once works have commenced and require additional works to be carried out or once the structure is in place, you realise that there isn't quite enough spot lighting and you would like to add some more or maybe you decide to include the installation of wooden flooring.
Appendix A
Any architects or other design drawings will be included here.
